Director of Technology

Vye is seeking a strategic and technically seasoned Director of Technology to establish and scale a high-performing, revenue-generating technical services department. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of technology at a growing, HubSpot-partnered marketing agency. This role combines visionary leadership with hands-on execution, from setting technical direction to overseeing complex client solutions and internal innovation.

\ Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the technical strategy, roadmap, and scalable infrastructure in alignment with Vye’s growth goals

  • Architect smart, scalable solutions for clients—integrating marketing platforms, CRMs (especially HubSpot), and third-party tools

  • Build and manage a cross-functional technical team (developers, PMs, architects)

  • Oversee technical execution for client-facing integration projects, including architecture, data flow, and platform interoperability

  • Collaborate with strategy and revenue leaders to align technical capabilities with client needs and growth opportunities

  • Lead development of proprietary tools, productized services, and recurring revenue SaaS offerings

  • Represent technical expertise in pre-sales conversations and client presentations

  • Implement systems that are scalable, secure, maintainable, and compliant

  • Champion innovation, efficiency, and best practices in DevOps, integrations, and martech

\ Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of technical leadership experience in a marketing agency, consultancy, or SaaS environment

  • Proven experience in solutions architecture, with a focus on marketing technology and CRM ecosystems

  • HubSpot experience required—including integrations, custom development, and data alignment

  • Strong understanding of system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, iPaaS platforms), data modeling, and infrastructure (cloud hosting, security, compliance)

  • Experience scoping and estimating technical projects, contributing to proposals and pre-sales efforts

  • Proficiency with modern tech stacks (JAMstack, Node.js, React), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and DevOps best practices

  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing technical teams

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for creating scalable, recurring-revenue models

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills across cross-functional teams and client engagements
