Sr. Account Manager

\ About the Role

  • Manage 8-12 clients or approx. $1.2mil in client revenue & projects

  • Own client relationships 

  • Drive forecasting, revenue & scoping

  • Lead accounts & projects

The Senior Account Manager is the cornerstone for developing and maintaining exemplary client relationships with clients and projects. This role is on the front lines of the business, with the responsibility to manage & execute on client strategy, goals, and results, as well as day-to-day deliverables, timelines, and budgets. The Account Manager works closely with Account Strategists and Project Managers to maintain a vision for new and improved results, innovations, and opportunities. 

 

\ Responsibilities

  • Execute client project initiatives that support client goals and have measurable outcomes (approximately 32 billable hours per week).

  • Develop a genuine understanding of each client's business, industry, and where they're headed — well enough to have strategic conversations, not just project updates.

  • Lead complex marketing and web projects end-to-end — managing timelines, budgets, and mixed teams while keeping the big picture in focus and the details under control.

  • Act as a true extension of each client's marketing team — with a working understanding of their full business, from sales cycles and revenue goals to marketing execution and everything in between.

  • Work with internal teams to help define project scope, resource requirements and cost estimates for projects as needed.

  • Execute on the day-to-day implementation of strategies through effective project management, information sharing, resource allocation, proofing, and communication with internal team members and external clients & partners.

  • Work closely with the team and client to ensure strategies are aligned through implementation.

  • Manage client relationships, meetings, and maintain up-to-date project statuses to provide communication to the client. Use discernment with client work that adds value but maintains profitability. 

  • Be the hub of communication for the project—in regular contact with internal and external partners engaged in delivering our product. Build positive relationships both with clients and team members. 

  • Demonstrate great people management skills, including motivating team members to meet schedule and quality requirements for deliverables, ability to resolve conflicts within the team, ability to get team members from different disciplines to come together as a team

  • Produce realistic timelines with clearly flagged milestones. Deliver projects to deadlines within budget.

  • Understand the workings and needs of the assigned account(s); have a good understanding of the brands —their definitions, their core characteristics, and how they should and shouldn't behave.

\ Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in account management or account coordination in a marketing-related role. Experience in an agency environment is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent understanding of web technologies such as web, mobile, email, social media, PR, reporting platforms.

  • Experience in using project management tools, budget/time tracking tools and issue tracking software with the depth of knowledge to recommend the right tools for a project.

  • Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work to improve efficiency, communication, and output quality.

  • Experience in project management models and their application to different projects, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum.

  • Experience with Teamwork, HubSpot, Claude and WordPress preferred but not required.

  • Dependable and proactive, able to manage projects without prompting.

  • Able to excel in a fast-paced environment.

  • An exceptional communicator with the ability to clearly articulate details and directions to others.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to execute tasks with precision.

  • Client-focused with ambition to build and grow client relationships.

  • Able to work well independently and with a team.
