HubSpot Solutions Consultant
About Vye
Vye is a full-service marketing agency for B2B companies that are done treating marketing as a guess. We're a HubSpot Platinum Solutions Partner that builds every partnership around a simple idea: marketing should be a measurable growth investment, not an expense you hope pays off. We're 37 people, employee-owned, and an Inc. 5000 company where HubSpot is the operating layer that connects strategy, creative, and measurement for every client we serve.
The Role
As Vye's HubSpot Solutions Consultant, you're the person the agency — and every client with a HubSpot portal — comes to when something needs to get onboarded, explained, or built the right way. You'll lead client onboardings and trainings and be the steady, knowledgeable voice clients trust to get the most out of their own CRM. Internally, you're the go-to for HubSpot questions across the team — the person people pull in when something's technical enough to need real expertise, not just documentation.
You'll work closely with Account Managers, Strategists, and the rest of the Digital team, and there's plenty of room to pick up more of the technical, portal-health side of things as you're ready for it — but the core of this role is onboarding clients well and being the depth of HubSpot knowledge the agency leans on.
Core Responsibilities
- Be the agency's go-to resource for HubSpot questions — the person other teams pull in when something's more complex than a quick Slack answer.
- Maintain deep, current expertise across HubSpot's hubs (Marketing, Sales, Service, CMS, Operations) — you know the platform well enough to have an opinion on the right way to do something, not just the way you've seen it done before.
- Serve as the internal builder for complex HubSpot work — advanced workflows, custom properties, list building, and anything technical enough to need SME-level oversight rather than a standard build.
- Conduct internal reviews on complex HubSpot builds before they go to clients, catching issues before a client ever sees them.
- Scope CRM projects, assessing technical feasibility and setting realistic expectations for what a build will actually take.
- Build and refine repeatable processes and templates, and stay ahead of HubSpot's platform updates and betas — knowing when it's worth introducing something new versus waiting for it to prove out.
Client Onboarding & Training
- Lead HubSpot onboarding for new clients start to finish — CRM blueprinting to document the end state, asset buildout, and getting client sign-off before build begins.
- Own the client training relationship: initial HubSpot walkthroughs, team trainings, and ongoing education as their portal, team, or needs evolve.
- Be the client's steady point of contact during onboarding — the person who makes them feel confident in their new portal, not overwhelmed by it.
- Give clients strategic recommendations grounded in their data and goals during onboarding and beyond — this is a strategy conversation as much as a technical one.
Room to Grow
You don't need to come in doing all of this. But this is a growth role that will need to adapt to changing technical systems and processes.
Portal Health & Data Hygiene
- Run HubSpot contact audits, data hygiene reviews, and marketing contact clean-up across the client base.
- Own HubSpot renewal checks and keep the client tracking spreadsheet current.
- Administer and analyze the Vye NPS Survey process for HubSpot clients.
- Conduct AI-supported portal audits, using AI tools to speed up diagnostics while still applying the manual judgment complex portals require.
Technical Build & Configuration
- Build out segmentation and buyer intent tool configuration for clients.
- Provide reporting support across attribution models and AI-driven reporting configurations.
- Support website launch checklists as technical overflow alongside the content team.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of recent, hands-on HubSpot experience. We care much more about what you've done recently than a total years number. If you've been deep in HubSpot day-to-day, that matters more to us than a decade of occasional exposure.
- Current HubSpot certifications (Marketing Software, Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, or equivalent), with a habit of staying current as the platform evolves — including knowing when to test a new beta and when to wait for social proof.
- Genuine comfort in front of clients. You can run an onboarding call, lead a training, and field a curveball question without missing a beat.
- A strategist's instinct, not just an executor's. Clients should leave conversations with you having gotten a recommendation, not just a status update.
- A process-builder's mindset. You default to documenting, templatizing, and cloning what works instead of rebuilding it from scratch every time.
- Autonomy. You can pick up a client need, run with it, and flag risks or discrepancies early before they turn into a bigger problem.
- Real comfort with AI tools and a willingness to use them to work faster and smarter (not just an openness to the idea in theory).
- Strong analytical chops. You're comfortable pulling and interpreting data from HubSpot reporting to inform recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the judgment to know when a client needs a quick Slack answer versus a fuller strategic conversation.
Nice-to-have: Working knowledge of native HubSpot integrations, especially Salesforce (NetSuite is a bonus).
Soft Skills That Matter Here
- You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-client environment and can context-switch without losing quality.
- You're curious about the HubSpot ecosystem and enjoy figuring out how new tools fit into existing client setups.
- You take ownership. If something's not working, you're the type to fix it or flag it — not wait to be asked.
- You care about the client relationship as much as the technical build. Both matter equally here.
