The Vye team has been reorganizing our shelves this week to make room for our new 2022 American Advertising Awards (aka ADDY). In total, we brought home four gold awards and one silver award to add to our growing collection.

While you’ll see a lot of awards around our offices, they’re more than just decorations for our lobby — each one is a sign that we strategized and came together to create something great for a client.

So let’s take a walk down memory lane and revisit our latest award-winning work.

Four pieces of mya branded collateral

mya came to us upon realizing their product had outgrown its current branding, imagery, and messaging. What started as a match-making quiz for stylists and clients quickly blossomed into an intuitive marketing software pairing users based on personalities, budgets, and lifestyle preferences. Naturally, they needed a new appearance to lead off their next chapter.

Once a new look and feel were established, mya needed a website that could fulfill its mission of helping beauty professionals grow their careers. Through collaboration, our teams created a new home for stylists, barbers, and estheticians to find and recruit clients. The new site blends brand art and marketing science, allowing mya to grow its business alongside its customers' businesses.

The entire IT industry struggles to present itself as approachable. Marco was no different, and their old branding wasn’t helping.

However, their team takes incredible pride in providing an exceptional customer experience at every engagement, and they are, inarguably, the company’s greatest asset. Instead of hiding their smiling faces behind a logo or slick images, we wanted to show them as an authentic, down-to-earth company using the faces of their people.

We cracked a few smiles on social media with our brand launch videos, which also helped bust a few myths about technology providers in the process. One of the best ways to break down barriers and build between people, next to great food, is humor. So we are always over the moon when our clients let us use this powerful tool!

When Marco came to us, their website contained helpful information for IT professionals, but it wasn’t particularly appealing to owners of small to midsize businesses. We helped them humanize their brand, made it easier for customers to purchase products that will integrate well with their existing solutions, and facilitated quick and easy repeat supply ordering. 
We also presented information in a way that wouldn’t frustrate non-technically minded folks while offering something valuable to experienced IT pros. 

Why the ADDY Awards?

The American Advertising Federation doesn’t just recognize outstanding work in marketing — it supports the entire advertising industry. In fact, all proceeds from entries are used to enhance advertising in local programs, including public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.

With more than 25,000 entries annually, it’s a tremendous honor to bring these awards back to the office to inspire us and celebrate our clients.
